Prayer
Today we are asking for you to pray. The ministry on the UAM campus needs your prayers. The
work being done on campus is a mission work. There are several ways members could help by
praying for the mission work of the church. They include things like:
Pray for Open Doors - Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for
us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of
Christ, for which I am in chains. — Colossians 4:2 –3 (NIV)
Pray that God’s Word Will Spread - As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that
the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. — 2
Thessalonians 3:1 (NIV)
Pray for Protection - And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not
everyone has faith. — 2 Thessalonians 3:2 (NIV)
Partners in prayer - I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love
of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. — Romans 15:30 (NIV)
These are just a few things to pray for in your daily prayers. Students are facing pressure
and temptations. They are facing ridicule for their faith. The students need your prayers as they
ask friends and classmates to come to church with them, that they will have the courage and
strength to do that. The Elders need your prayers as they try to direct and make plans for the
WFC program. The campus minister needs your prayers that I will have the strength, knowledge,
and courage to be the Christian I should be.
Your prayers are needed, please pray daily for the work on the UAM campus and in the
Monticello community. ~B. Tolbert
