A New School Year Needs Prayer!

We are facing a new school year and once again I ask that you spend time in prayer. “And
pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be
alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people” (Ephesians 6:18). After a difficult
past school year, we are looking hopefully toward a more normal year. We are facing continued
COVID-19 cases in the community bringing its own stresses and changes on the UAM campus.
We are remaining flexible in hopes of reaching as many students as possible with whatever
opportunities we are given.
Join us in praying for the coming school year. Pray for faculty, staff, students, and their
families as we face the challenges of a new year. Pray that the gospel message will be taught in
all its truth and power.
Pray for Open Doors. “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for
us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of
Christ, for which I am in chains” (Colossians 4:2–3).
Pray that God’s Word Will Spread. “As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us
that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you” (2
Thessalonians 3:1).
Pray for Protection. “And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not
everyone has faith” (2 Thessalonians 3:2).
Partners in Prayer. “I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love
of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me” (Romans 15:30).
Your prayers are needed. Please pray daily for the work on the UAM campus and the
students we are reaching. ~Brad Tolbert
