BEGINNING OF A SCHOOL YEAR
Tomorrow morning marks the beginning of another school year. It is a beginning unlike
years past. A beginning filled with concerns from administrations, teachers, parents and students.
How will the new year work with all the precautions required for in school and how will the
students at home deal with a full year of virtual class? Can we have music, cheerleading, sports,
and how will the mask really make me look?
There are very real concerns as our students go back to school, but we need to remind them
and ourselves that the Lord is still in control, even over the virus that has caused such chaos for a
half year. Below are listed the names of teachers, staff and students (and don’t forget their
parents!) who we want to pray for as they begin this year. Please take time today, tomorrow, this
week and weeks to come to say a prayer on their behalf. Mention their names as they take on the
challenges of this year. Encourage them when you see them at church.
