UPCOMING EVENTS
Please mark these important dates on your calendar:
Sunday, May 2 — Everyone under one roof again!
The elders have determined that we can go back to “normal” Bible class and worship hours.
So, beginning the first Sunday morning of May we will meet for Bible class at 9:30 and worship
at 10:30. We will also meet back for evening worship at 5:00.
The question that will be on many of our minds is whether or not it is safe to return with a
crowd. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask—wear a mask! We appeal to everyone to
be mindful of each other and recognize that everyone may not feel as confident regarding
COVID and the concerns it has brought to life. I would draw your attention to the apostle Paul’s
words regarding the eating of meats and concern for one another’s feelings (1 Cor. 8-10). We are
excited about the opportunity to be back together, but let’s be sure in our enthusiasm that we
show our love one to another. “Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor” (1 Cor.
10:24).
We will use this first Sunday evening back for our first “Singing” in over a year, followed
by a fellowship meal provided by Chris Bryant and Jeremy Wilson (BBQ pulled pork and
chicken with all the trimmings). We will also be honoring our 2021 High School and College
graduates and our May birthdays. This will be a full and exciting day for everyone. In the next
few weeks we will be posting further information in the bulletin regarding our local and
extended family graduates.
Sunday, May 9 — Happy Mother’s Day!
Friday, April 16 — Linda Rabb Memorial Service
The congregation will be helping to host a memorial service for our sister in Christ, Linda
Rabb. Linda passed from this life Dec. 12, 2020. Due to COVID and bad weather many were
unable to attend the burial. The memorial service will be held in the Fellowship Hall Friday
afternoon at 2:00.
