Sin No More
The most important event that ever happened, and the most important news that ever can be
shared was the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For those who believe and have
been buried with Him in baptism it is a life changing event. To hear the truth of God’s grace and
accept that gift is the most important decision that you can make. The eternal life offered to all
humankind is free for all who truly believe.
“Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him. For we know that
since Christ was raised from the dead, He cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over
Him. The death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God” (Rom.
6:8-10).
So many in the world are unwilling to hear this good news. So many turn their backs on the
truth and give up the opportunity to have true freedom and eternal life. Even among those who
say they believe, there are often people that fail to live their life free from the slavery of sin. To
continue in sin only returns us to slavery and death.
“In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore,
do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of
yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who
have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to Him as an instrument of
righteousness. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but
under grace” (Romans 6:11-14).
To love God is to desire to be like Him. To love God is to desire to please Him. We should
have nothing to do with sin and strive each day to be an instrument of His righteousness. When
we truly receive and understand the love of God we will want to share it with others. ~Brad
