UAM Move in Day: New Opportunity!

A new school year is beginning. We cannot know what the new year will hold. We have
plans and expectations but plans will change and our expectations are, in the end, only our
guesses based on past experience and they are not always right. We do know that we have a great
deal of work ahead of us. We pray that we are prepared to do what God wants to be done.
I want to thank you all for all you do to support the campus ministry. Many of you have
gone above and beyond to help with food for our Thursday evening meals. Your continued
financial support show a commitment to the mission and a deep love and concern for the young
people and their souls on the UAM campus. Without you and your dedication there would not be
a light shining in the darkness to light the way. I do ask that you dedicate yourself to prayer for
the campus ministry in the following four ways. For without God, all our plans will fail.
Pray for Open Doors. “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And
pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the
mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains” (Colossians 4:2–3). (NIV)
Pray that God’s Word Will Spread. “As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray
for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you”
(2 Thessalonians 3:1). (NIV)
Pray for Protection for our Students. “And pray that we may be delivered from wicked
and evil people, for not everyone has faith” (2 Thess. 3:2). (NIV)
Partners in prayer. “I urge you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by
the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me” (Romans 15:30).
(NIV)
Let us pray that the WFC program will have a good year in God’s service spreading the
truth of God’s word, planting the seed. ~B Tolbert
