WEEVILS FOR CHRIST MAKING AN IMPACT!
Student Success Award Recipient
The UAM Campus Ministries are the recipients of the November Student Success
Award. The BCM (Jeremy Woodall), MBSF (Rob Leonard), Weevils for Christ (Brad Tolbert)
and Wesley Foundation (Kavan Dodson) are recognized UAM Student Organizations that serve
as underpinnings of our efforts for academic success as well as student engagement. These
groups, individually and collectively, provide safe environments for our students where they can
develop a sense of belonging and purpose. In addition, they provide opportunities for service
activities in the campus and Monticello communities. Almost any day of the week, students can
be fed – both physically and spiritually – at one of the ministerial buildings at UAM. The UAM
Campus Ministries help connect the dots on student success.
Congratulations to Brad for this recognition. We may not always be able to see by student
numbers the work taking place on campus, but that doesn’t change that the Weevils for Christ
program is having an impact on student lives. I am thankful for Brad and the work that he is
doing on campus in an effort to show students that Christ can (and does) make a difference in
their lives. I appreciate Mandy for the encouragement and support she gives to Brad on a daily
basis.
Let’s be sure to keep Brad and Mandy in our daily prayers as they continue to serve the
Lord in this capacity, and may we be ready to support them in any way we can. ~PM
