Are You Ready?
Insurance Companies require a number of things of their policy holders. If you insure your home they may require that you have a way to extinguish a fire. A car insurance company may ask that you keep your car in a proper state of repair. Health insurance firms are asking their policy holders to take better care of their health. Now you may never have a fire in your home, or a problem with your car, and your health may always be great; but they want you to be prepared for what might happen.
Now the gist of this article is simple, are you without a doubt, prepared for what will happen? No, it is not death and taxes. It is Death and Judgement (Heb. 9:27)! We often sing a song with that sentiment being expressed, “Are you ready for the judgement day?” Some believe that they are ready, but are they really? They follow a false belief system that leaves them unprepared. Others believe that God’s grace will save them in spite of their lack of living a life for Christ.
In spite of the fact that the question is simple, the implication of the question has a direct bearing on our salvation. If you wait until you have a fire, you have waited too late. Insure yourself with the knowledge of the world of God, live your life according to the word of God, and be ready for the Judgement Day.
