WHAT IS LOST IF PREMILLENNIALISM IS TRUE (PART 1)

THE GLORY OF THE THRONE OF CHRIST

Christ prayed in John 17:5 that God return Him to the glory He had when He was in Heav-
en. Paul wrote that Christ coming to earth from Heaven made Him poor (2 Cor. 8:9). Sim-
ple, unbiased reasoning would conclude that Heaven is greater than earth; thus, to put the

throne of Christ on earth is to make it inferior to His actual throne – placed at the right hand

of the Father in Heaven. A throne in Jerusalem is inferior as is the doctrine of premillennial-
ism – it is as simple as that.

THE SPLENDOR OF THE POWER OF GOD
Jeremiah wrote about the Almighty, “there is nothing too hard for thee” (Jer. 32:17), as
did the Psalmist in Psalm 135:6. God swore by Himself to Abraham because He could
swear by no greater (Heb. 6:13). If man truly altered God’s original plan, then man has
more power than God; thus, one should abandon a powerless God or one should abandon a
doctrine that inaccurately represents the true power of God – it is emphatically the latter!
THE COMFORT FROM THE WISDOM OF GOD
One must acknowledge that God is omniscient in nature. “Great is our Lord, and of great
power: His understanding is infinite” (Psa. 147:5). Luke wrote that all God’s work were
known from creation (Acts 15:18). For one to argue the premillennial agenda he must admit
that he believes that God was “caught off guard,” because the belief is that the crucifixion

of Christ and the establishment of the church were a result of God not understanding cir-
cumstances surrounding Christ’s incarnation. We find comfort that, as the song says, “God

holds the future in His hand.” The theory of premillennialism robs God of His wisdom, and
robs us of that comfort. - Josh Walker
