July 31 Announcements

Prayers are requested for the family of Tish Thomas in the loss of her great-nephew, Charles. He was killed in a crop dusting accident.
 

Winne Roberts had an MRI which ruled out a stroke, but doctors believe it may
show dementia. Keep her in your prayers.
 

Ray Leonard had tests in Little Rock this past week—prayers for good results.

Parker Simmons had a 4-wheeler accident. There were no broken bones, but bruises and soreness.

Sandra Higgins saw the doctor about her knee and will see the dentist about her
tooth in August.

Paula Wilson Will see Dr. Brad Thomas (Neurosurgeon) on August 10th.

Candice Carter is at home, but has to continue to go to hospital - Please pray for
her healing and comfort.

Rena Doshier (Sandra Baker’s sister-in-law) will have surgery. Please keep her and those tending to her in your prayers.

Tom Baker received great news concerning his lymphoma - the doctors said they
considered him in remission. Be sure to remember to thank God in your prayers
for this encouraging news!

Carolyn Cook’s health has improved. Another reason to thank God!

All the Youth are invited to join in the group photo that will be in the Billie Football Program this year. The photo will take place at the Monticello Football Field on August 4th, at 7:30 p.m.

Best Choice labels are still being collected. Place the UPC labels from Best Choice products in the box in room 134. The proceeds go to the Paragould Children’s Home.

foot (she stepped on a nail).
Kelly Koonce fell and separated his
shoulder. He will be going to physical
therapy

Bluff Thursday morning with blood clots
in her lungs .

Pray for Jacque Davidson, Brooke Thompson, and Mandy Tolbert as they deal with Covid.

Carolyn Cook was taken to the hospital in Pine Bluff Thursday morning with a heart issue.

Pray for Joel Thompson, who is in the hospital.

Candice Carter is starting a new round of chemo treatments. Please pray that the treatments are effective and for strength.

Continue to remember the youth that are away at camp—that they will be safe, enjoy their time, and grow spiritually.

Tonight will be Singing Night followed by the Birthday/Anniversary Fellowship. As part of the fellowship, we will have a pounding/housewarming for the Walkers as part of the Birthday/Anniversary Fellowship. There is a list of needed/wanted items in the foyer. Let’s welcome the Walkers to their new home! If you have any questions see Sandra Baker or Pam Beard.

June 19 Announcements

Happy Father’s Day!

Ray Leonard who is awaiting test results.

Let’s continue to pray for the Walker family as they prepare to join us here.

We will be feeding the Walker family several nights as they transition to Monticello. Please sign-up on the sheet in the foyer. If you have questions, please see Sara Newton or Jill Curtis.

Tom Baker had back surgery which went well and will resume chemo treatments.

Joy Herring Burt passed away last week. She was a cousin to Marty BakerCheryl ShireyMichelle Bailey, and Anna Koonce.

Joseph Friend had his oral surgery and is doing well.

We rejoice with the Gordon family as Elam Gordon (Fran Calvert’s granddaughter) was baptized Friday, June 10th.

Gary Light is in UAMS dealing with health issues.

Pray for Gean Harris who had surgery this past Tuesday.

Robbie Pettigrew was admitted to UAMS with a blockage in his bowel. They were able to remove it without surgery.

The Fellowship Hall has been reserved June 20-22 for the purposes of being used as a polling place for the runoff election.

 

The Change for Children fundraiser for Paragould Children’s Home is here again. If you would like to participate, there are cans available in the foyer. The deadline to return the cans will be in late August.

The Wednesday Morning Ladies Bible Class will not be meeting during the Summer. It will start back up in the Fall.

Next Sunday will be Father’s Day.

Let’s continue to pray for the Walker family as they prepare to join us here.

Pray for those connected to the tragic wreck in Dermott this passed week, resulting in five fatalities and five injuries.

Joseph Friend as he undergoes oral surgery this week.

Crystal Grimes, who had back surgery last week.

Kathy King, who had knee replacement surgery.

The family of David Wilkins, who passed away last Monday.
